One of the church's great hymns, also known as "Old 100th," has been given a full and exhilarating setting that is perfect as a solo or offertory for any service. The music begins with a four-measure flourish based on the first four notes of the melody. Following this opening fanfare is a section using large
chords and a simple rhythm pattern to make the first melodic statement, then the choir begins echoing two-measure phrases between the high and low bells.
The music then repeats the first section, closing out with a fanfare that parallels the opening. Performer and audience alike will experience sheer exhilaration!
