A short canonic introduction and ending frame three simple pentatonic settings of this old English folk melody. First a simple statement of the melody, then on to slowly shifting harmonies over a simple drone accompaniment, and thirdly a broadening with fuller voicing of the melody. A good choice for prelude or offertory any time of year.
