Ave Maria (Trio or Quartet

Bach's simple composition from "The Well-Tempered Clavier", combined with Gounoud's famous melody, makes a lovely prelude or offertory for any church or wedding service. The bottom three parts sustain the arpeggiated pattern that, as it moves through various harmonies, defines Bach's original composition while the top part carries Gounoud's melodic addition. The music can be performed either as a bell quartet or as a bell trio accompanying either another musical instrument or vocal solo.
